I’ve always enjoyed reading…comics. It has been a part of me since young and I still read it still. Sure, downloading it off the internet isn’t as much fun as holding on to the real thing, but since it’s free, so I can’t complain much.
I still read about spiderman, xmen and all the costumed based comics. But I find myself more interested in adult themed stories. They are more complex, easier to relate to and the possibilities are endless. Superheros are boring…we all know that the good guys always win in the end.
The last good book that I read was called ‘Y: the last man’. It’s about a guy named Yorick whose literally the last man on earth. And all he wants to do is to get his ass to Australia to find out if his girlfriend said yes to his proposal (the telephone lines died when all the men died). So he has to fend off a bunch of female man-haters (called amazons), women politicians, scientists and whatever you can think of. Yea, I probably make it sound like lame story but its actually really good. It was serious and yet funny at the same time, and there are no costumes involved. I once thought it would be kinda sweet being the last male alive, but this book showed me otherwise.
Damn I need a good comic now!!!
