More often than not, we live in a world of materialism. People talking about money, shoes, work, money, cars, work, and more. Heck, I think I might probably be one of them doing it unknowingly.
Why is there such an emphasis on credit cards? Why and how is one piece of plastic better than the other? And the sheer number of plastics in a wallet!!! Seems like everyone has a Citibank, a Standard chartered, a women's card, a gold card, a HSBC. And all I have is my trusty EZLink card and ATM card. As far as I'm concerned, that was pretty much all i need.
After tonight, I actually questioned about my job, my life, and my way of life. Am I underpaid? Do I have a life? Am I going anywhere in life? I thought I enjoyed my work, I thought I was beginning to have some sort of a life, starting with caring parents and sisters whom I love dearly. I have my bunch of merry friends who never judged me but laughs at my clumsiness. I'm not too sure where I'm going but to be honest, it never really bothered me to be aimless; All I ever wanted was to be happy.
So chin up, life was never about cards, never about cars, never about money. Simply put, its all about living. So who cares what's on you, It's whats in you that count.
