A few days ago, I attended this little gathering with my JC mates. Although I wasn't close with them, I thought it wouldn't hurt to catch up abit with them.

As expected, it was boring. Half the time I had no idea what they were talking about. Something about government jobs, DXOs (I'm still not very sure what that is), ROMs (No idea) and HDB application processes. Most of the time I kept my mouth tight, my thoughts to myself, filtering out the gargon they were throwing out, happily enjoying my dinner.

After the dinner & coffee, I was volunteered into accompanying my ex-gf to wait till her brother arrive to pick her up. Initially, it was awkward, not having seen each other for some time, we didn't seem to have much to talk about. We asked about mutual friends and what they're doing. More people getting married and raising babies... so what else is new these day???

Then I asked her about her best friend SL if they still kept in touch. Her face turned quite sour and she started telling me about her story. Shocked is probably an understatement, but to realise that there are people who have remained unemployed for 7 long years since graduation is simple beyond me. SL has usurped Abu's as the ultimate slacker! Naturally I asked what went wrong. It all boiled down to a simple case of low self-esteem. So low, so low....

shit I gotta gohome... I'll continue later...
