Nothing’s said but there’s much going on
Little hints, slight implications
Of what has been going around
And what hasn’t been going around.
Are you trying to comfort me?
Is that what you really want
Or is it just a passing phase
Going through motion, if you will.
I search within myself
For a us in me
Yes it’s there
Just waiting, patiently
Living on blind hope perhaps
So blind it could be false.
I sigh to myself
10 seconds of my life lost
The inbox staring at me
Half an hour wasted
Another sigh escapes my breath
Time to earn my pay.
